Jesus made an interesting reference to our bodies in Luke 11:34-36.
He said the eye is the light of the body. And if the eye be single (see clearly--i.e.,
spiritual discernment), then the whole body will be full of light.
Wow. Think about it. If our entire body is full of light (God is light)--with no darkness
(Satan, his minions, his error, his works) in it, how can sickness dwell there?
Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. Sickness in our body is always a work of the devil.
And, in Luke 11:34-36, Jesus links spiritual discernment with physical health.
In verse 35 he said it was because of this, that we should be very careful to walk in
every bit of light that is available to us.
None of us can know everything, and what we don't know certainly can harm us, but what is even more
harmful, is to hear and not do (Matthew 7:26-27).
